The first real course, is the Open Water Course it teaches you the basics of diving. You will be taught what the equipment does and how to use it.
After the Open Water Course, you can either learn some of the diving specialities or take the Advanced Adventure Diver Course .
After the Rescue Diver course is completed you can complete some specialities to get the Advanced Diver award, or the Divemaster Course. The DM course is the first step on the teaching direction, which could even get you a job around the world.
As a Divemaster, you can continue to the Assistant Instructor Course. Then one more step and you can become a scuba diving instructor.
